Miss Lauryn Schiffrin

Miss Lauryn Schiffrin is a student at Virginia Tech, majoring in Human Development with a minor in Disability Studies and Adaptive Brain and Behavior. She balances her academics with participation in Alpha Chi Omega and the Dance Company at Virginia Tech.

Miss Carly Hansen

Our Assistant Director, Miss Carly Hansen is a proud member of the Sunshine Committee at Gilbert Linkous Elementary where she teaches Kindergarten. Miss Carly is attending a workshop at Virginia Tech this month that provides strategies for reducing anxiety in students in order to improve learning in all types of classroom situations. 

Miss Catherine Nicely

Miss Catherine Nicely works as a sports medicine aide with VT athletics, receiving education on injury prevention and evaluation, and training on applying wraps and sports taping. She is a valuable addition to our gymnastics faculty. 

Miss Sarah Fitch

Miss Sarah Fitch holds both a Graduate Certificate in Anatomical Science Education from the University of Florida and a Certificate in Cognitive Fitness from Harvard Health Publishing. She is currently receiving her Master's in Engineering from Johns Hopkins with a focus on Tissue Engineering and uses her vast knowledge in all classes, particularly to educate dancers in the Saturday morning Strength and Stretch class.

Miss Nina Kempic

Miss Nina Kempic was a member of the Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership New River Valley class of 2021. She uses her dance, theatre, engineering, and leadership skills in classes to help students reach their full potential. Miss Nina also loves to share tips with other faculty, often quoting Heath Brother’s “Switch” as a great resource for classroom management.
